1952 Ex Works Jowett Jupiter for sale
EX WORKS JOWETT JUPITER RI. THE SOLE SURVIVING ONE OF THREE WORKS RACING CARS. THIS IS A UNIQUE PIECE OF ENGLISH LE MANS HISTORY WINNING ITS CLASS AT LE MANS IN 1952 DRIVEN BY MARCEL BECQUART AND GORDON WILKINS. THE CAR WAS FOUND IN BRADFORD ,WHERE THE ORIGINAL FACTORY WAS AND HAS BEEN RESTORED OVER THE YEARS TO THE ORIGINAL SPECIFICATION USING THE ORIGINAL CHASSIS AND BODYWORK. IT HAS FULL FIA PAPERS ,LOTS OF HISTORY INCLUDING MANY PICTURES OF THE CAR IN PERIOD AND OF ITS REBUILD.
THE CAR HAS TAKEN PART IN MANY RACES INCLUDING THE GOODWOOD REVIVAL, TWO LE MANS LEGENDS AND WOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR MONACO HAVING RACED IN THE SPORTS CAR RACE THERE IN PERIOD.

CC Bradford Engine & transmission: (engine missing brass ID plate). Nearly complete engine that was rebuilt in the late 1950s and not used since. Never re-installed in the vehicle, it has been stored in a shed for six decades, but turns over easily by hand. Missing some ancillaries (generator, air cleaner & spark plug leads/plugs).
